Guitar/Amp Buzzing?

I have an Ibanez GRG170DX hooked up to a Fender Champion 110 25 W amp. When the guitar is not plugged in, you hear a hum that can be quite loud. When you plug in the guitar, the hum turns into a louder buzz. The buzz is silenced if I touch ANY metal connected to the strings. (pegs, tremolo)

correct me if I am wrong. I am having the same problem.

I have a gibson les paul and a laney tube amp 50w

I get the hum too epecrially when heavily distorted.

I think you need a noise reducer pedal.
